Master of Horror (1965)
“Master of Horror” (1965) is an anthology film that brings to life two classic tales from the master of horror, Edgar Allan Poe. The film is a re-edited and dubbed version of the 1960 film “Masterworks of Terror” for American audiences.

In the first story, “The Case of M. Valdemar,” a hypnotist named Dr. Eckstrom believes he can keep the dying Henry Valdemar alive through hypnosis. As Valdemar teeters on the brink of death, Eckstrom’s experiment leads to unexpected and chilling consequences.

The second tale, “The Cask of Amontillado,” follows John Samivet, a man more concerned with his winery than his young wife, Teresa. When a stranger arrives in the village, love blossoms, but Samivet has a sinister plan in store for the lovers.

This film captures the eerie and suspenseful atmosphere of Poe’s stories, making it a must-watch for fans of classic horror.

Master of Terror (Reissue title of "4D Man" 1959)
“4D Man” (1959) is a science fiction film that explores the consequences of scientific ambition and the quest for power. The story follows Dr. Tony Nelson, a brilliant but reckless scientist who develops an electronic amplifier that allows objects to achieve a fourth-dimensional state, enabling them to pass through solid matter. After an accident destroys his laboratory, Tony seeks help from his brother, Scott, who is working on an impenetrable material called Cargonite.

As Scott experiments with the amplifier, he discovers that he can enter a 4D state and pass through any object. However, this newfound ability comes with a dangerous side effect: rapid aging. Desperate to reverse the aging process, Scott resorts to extreme measures, leading to a series of dramatic and suspenseful events.

The film delves into themes of scientific ethics, the consequences of unchecked ambition, and the moral dilemmas faced by those who push the boundaries of human knowledge. With its intriguing premise and thought-provoking narrative, “4D Man” remains a captivating classic in the science fiction genre.
