This is the third of several media collections from other noteworthy films that played the Pacific Northwest in 1963. While these don't have enough content to warrant their own pages they should not be dismissed as lesser films; the majority of them are well worth watching.

The Black Zoo (1963)
Michael Conrad is a fanatical zookeeper who runs a private zoo with a variety of big cats. He treats his animals with love and respect, but he has no qualms about using them to murder anyone who crosses him or his cult-like followers. His wife Edna and his mute son Carl are forced to help him with his bloody schemes, while a police detective tries to unravel the mysterious deaths. Conrad’s obsession with his animals leads him to a violent confrontation with his enemies and his own family.

"The Black Zoo" didn't make it to Portland until 1965. It ran then as the second feature to "Two on a Guillotine."

The Playgirls and the Vampire (1960)
A group of exotic dancers and their manager are stranded in a storm and seek shelter in a castle owned by a mysterious count. They soon discover that the count is a vampire who has been waiting for the reincarnation of his long-lost love, who happens to look exactly like one of the dancers. The vampire tries to seduce her, while the others try to escape his deadly clutches. The film is a mix of horror and eroticism, with scenes of nudity and violence.
