The Cabinet of Caligari (1962)
The 1962 film “The Cabinet of Caligari” is a psychological thriller that loosely adapts the 1920 German expressionist classic. The plot revolves around Jane, a young woman who seeks help at a remote mansion after her car breaks down. There, she meets the mysterious and sinister Dr. Caligari, who subjects her to a series of bizarre and disturbing questions and experiments. Jane soon realizes that she is trapped in a nightmare, and that none of the other inhabitants of the house can help her escape. The film ends with a shocking twist that reveals the true nature of Jane’s situation
