The following are good examples of early exploitation promotion. Subpar films were released (or re-released in many cases) with lurid promotional material to titillate people into going to see films they wouldn't normally consider seeing. I assume most were disappointed when they were faced with bad dramas rather than the sexy films promised by the ads.
